The Bluelab pH Cleaning and Calibration Set provides the essentials for maintaining and calibrating pH probes and meters. Deposits on the measuring surface can affect response times and readings, so regular cleaning followed by calibration is an important part of routine meter care. The kit is suitable for both new and experienced growers who regularly check the pH of irrigation water or nutrient solutions with an electronic meter.

Cleaning and calibration in one kit

For probe cleaning, the set includes 30 ml of Bluelab pH Probe Cleaner and a toothbrush for carefully removing more persistent deposits. Once cleaned, the probe can be calibrated against the supplied pH 7.0 and pH 4.0 reference solutions. Three plastic cups make it easier to keep the individual solutions separate during maintenance. Suitable instruments are available in the pH meter range, including the Bluelab pH Pen.

Why regular probe care matters

Nutrient salts, organic matter and other residues can gradually build up on a pH probe. Bluelab recommends cleaning, maintaining and calibrating pH probes before first use and regularly afterwards. Replacement calibration solutions
