Chikamasa B-220S – compact stainless steel pruning shears for precise plant care

The Chikamasa B-220S is a lightweight Japanese pruning shear designed for accurate cutting of shoots, stems and delicate plant material. Combining stainless steel blades, a compact design and ergonomic handles, these gardening scissors are suitable for routine plant maintenance, detailed trimming and harvesting tasks in both indoor and outdoor growing environments.

Short stainless steel blades for accurate cutting

The 33 mm blades are made from high-quality stainless steel and provide clean, controlled cuts through thin stems and young shoots. Their compact cutting edges allow you to work precisely around individual plant parts without unnecessarily disturbing surrounding growth. This makes the B-220S particularly useful for thinning, light pruning and removing unwanted growth. Explore our range of harvesting and trimming scissors for other plant maintenance tasks.

Lightweight design for comfortable handling

Measuring 130 mm in overall length and weighing just 32 g, the Chikamasa B-220S is easy to handle during detailed work. Its open, ergonomically shaped handles are made from elastomer, a slightly flexible material that provides a comfortable grip. The lightweight construction helps you maintain control when making repeated cuts, especially when working around delicate plants.

Smooth cutting action and straightforward maintenance

A stainless steel rivet connects the two halves of the scissors, reducing friction and supporting a smooth, consistent cutting action. The rust-resistant blades are designed for regular plant maintenance. After use, remove any plant residue or sap and dry the blades thoroughly to keep the cutting edges in good condition.

If you prefer a slightly longer blade for other pruning tasks, the Chikamasa B-500SLF pruning shears, featuring 35 mm blades, offer a useful alternative.
