Bruised Bananas comes from Purple Chocolope and Honey Banana. DNA Genetics presents this feminized photoperiod strain as a balanced indica-sativa hybrid. Older catalogues also list the singular name Bruised Banana.

The plants develop strong lateral branches and may stretch noticeably during the first weeks of flowering. Indoors, they usually remain manageable at approximately 90-150 cm, while outdoor plants may reach around 180-210 cm. LST, moderate pruning, or a ScrOG can help distribute the canopy evenly.
