Boveda 58% is a blend of potassium citrate and acetate. When the humidity is higher it absorbs water; when the humidity is lower it releases water.

The pouch is made of a unique material that works much like reverse osmosis: it can both take up and release water molecules, keeping the salt inside and contaminants outside. This lets Boveda hold a perfectly constant humidity in a closed container, regulating it in both directions.

This Boveda 58%, 8 g pack keeps an optimal constant 58% humidity for about 30 grams of well-dried herbs in a closed container for 3 to 4 months. Before use, just remove the plastic wrapping, place the pack in the container with the herbs and close it as tightly as possible. Please note: Boveda is not suitable for drying moist, unripe herbs.

When the pack is used up, the gel inside hardens; simply replace it with a new one. How long a Boveda lasts depends on several factors.
