Thunderstruck

Beskrivning

Thunderstruck by Sumo Seeds

Thunderstruck gets its shape less from the name than from the combination of a shorter, indica leaning frame and a blue driven background. The variety stays more compact than many fruit based lines, yet still pushes enough mass into the flowers to make that the real centre of gravity.

Genetically, it runs on Thunderberry and Old Afghani. Thunderberry itself comes from Blue Thunder and Blueberry, so the line is not built on yield alone, but also on a clearly marked Blueberry foundation. That is why it does not come across as just another heavy standard hybrid, but carries a darker and more classic core through the whole build.

In growth, Thunderstruck stays on the stockier side. It is mostly indica dominant, with short to medium height and heavier flower sets instead of a long and airy spread. Flowering takes around 53 days, which gives it a tightly controlled window that fits the more compact structure well.

On yield, the variety is quite strong. Indoor yields usually come to around 500 to 600 grams per square metre, while outdoor output comes to roughly 500 to 900 grams per plant. The flowers are resin rich and dense, which fits the more grounded Afghan side of the genetics.

On the profile side, Thunderstruck does not move into bright citrus territory, but into floral notes with fruity depth, sometimes followed by mint or grape in the background. That combination of Blueberry heritage, firmer structure and relatively short flowering time is what gives the variety its weight.
