Blumat Tensiometer 25 cm

Beskrivning

The Blumat Tensiometer helps you find the right moment to water. Many growers struggle to judge when and how much to water: too little slows growth, but too much is an even bigger problem, especially in soil.

A tensiometer measures soil moisture very accurately through soil suction tension. The tube is filled with demineralised water, closed with a rubber stopper and placed in the soil. Water moves in and out through the porous ceramic tip, acting like an artificial root. As the soil dries, water is drawn out and the dial on top shows the rising suction (in hPa); after watering, the reading drops again. This tells you exactly how hard your plant has to work to take up water.

• No digital meters or timers needed
• Soil dryness determines when to water
• Helps prevent overwatering
• Saves water
