Monitor soil moisture accurately and manage watering with greater control
The AC Infinity Soil Sensor Probe for Controller AI+ monitors moisture and saturation levels within the growing medium. Designed as an add-on for the AC Infinity Controller AI+, it provides continuous readings that help you assess watering needs and set up automated controls. It is suitable for indoor grows as well as plant containers, garden beds and other soil-based growing applications.
Use soil readings within the AI+ control system
When connected to a compatible AC Infinity AI controller, the sensor feeds its measurements into the control system. Soil moisture can be monitored through the AC Infinity app, which can also provide alerts. The controller can use these readings in configured control routines and activate connected watering devices when defined conditions are met. This allows irrigation to respond more closely to the actual condition of the growing medium rather than relying solely on fixed schedules.
Position the probe deeper into the root zone
The detachable stem features depth markings to help you position the probe securely further into the growing medium. Its design is intended to be gentle around plant roots when inserted correctly. The sensor can be used in soil and potting mixes, including applications with fabric pots, conventional plant containers, garden beds and grow beds.
Built for regular use in growing environments
The probe refreshes its readings every second and has a manufacturer-specified accuracy of ±5%. A 365.8 cm connection cable provides useful flexibility when positioning the sensor in larger setups. Its fibreglass construction and IP67 rating provide protection against water and dirt during typical use. One soil sensor can be connected directly to each AI controller; additional probes can be added using a separately available sensor splitter.
