Features of Trim CBD

Mama Kana’s Trim CBD is carefully selected from the trimmings of our greenhouse-grown CBD flower varieties in Italy. Freshly prepared and packaged, it retains a high concentration of natural cannabinoids and aromatic terpenes.

Its woody, herbal aromas evoke the freshness of raw hemp, with balanced green notes. The fine, light texture of this trim makes it easy to use as it is, without the need for further grinding.

This product is not intended for food use.

Not for sale to minors.

Origins and Definition of CBD Trim

The term “Trim“ comes from the English verb “to trim“, meaning to cut. In the cannabis industry, it refers to all the plant material removed from the main buds during post-harvest trimming.

For a long time, these trimmings were considered a by-product. With the growing popularity of CBD and the recognition of their cannabinoid content, trimmings have gained legitimacy. Growers realised that they contain enough trichomes and active compounds to justify selling them.

Trim consists of resinous leaves that grow close to the flowers, loose pistils and small buds that are too fragile to be sold as whole buds. Unlike fan leaves – large, resin-free leaves – trim consists solely of parts that have been in direct contact with the flowers and therefore contain resin glands.

At Mama Kana, each flower is hand-trimmed to keep only the compact bud. The resulting trimmings make up our Trim, a product in its own right that comes from the same source and is grown to the same standards as our premium flowers.

Italian greenhouse cultivation and production of Trim CBD

Our Trim comes from CBD hemp plants grown exclusively in greenhouses in Italy, in facilities that combine climate control with natural sunlight. This production method allows precise control of humidity, temperature and ventilation, while preserving the plants’ natural growth cycles.

Italy’s Mediterranean climate favours the development of aromatic terpenes and cannabinoids. The selected strains comply with European regulations, with THC levels kept below 0.3%. The plants are grown in a nutrient-rich substrate, free of pesticides and synthetic chemicals.

After being harvested by hand, the flowers are hung in well-ventilated areas to dry slowly, preserving the trichomes. Once dried, each bud is carefully trimmed by hand. The resinous leaves, pistils and micro-buds collected are sorted to remove stems and unwanted parts, keeping only the resin-rich fragments.

Appearance and Smell of CBD Trim

Trim is a varied mix of textures and colours. The thin leaves come in shades ranging from light green to pine green, accented with coppery-orange pistils. The fragments are covered in small whitish crystals – trichomes packed with cannabinoids. The overall texture is light and airy.

On the nose, it reveals woody notes reminiscent of pine and cedar, along with fresh, herbal aromas of cut grass and aromatic plants. These natural scents attest to the product’s freshness and the absence of artificial processing. There are also earthy, herbaceous undertones that evoke the raw, natural character of hemp.

What are the potential effects of Mama Kana Trim?

Trim CBD contains several active cannabinoids, including a significant amount of CBD, as well as CBG and CBN in varying amounts depending on the batch.

Trim helps create an atmosphere conducive to relaxation without any psychoactive effects.

The effects vary depending on individual sensitivity, body weight and CBD usage habits.

The cannabinoid concentration in Trim is lower than that of whole flowers, resulting in a mild, adjustable experience. This makes it ideal for people who are new to CBD or who prefer a mild effect.

This selection is available to buy directly from our CBD shop.
