About the CBN Olive
The CBN Olive is a hemp resin built around cannabinol: 20% CBN, whereas most products in our selection focus on CBD. CBN (cannabinol) is a cannabinoid distinct from CBD that hemp produces in small quantities. In our range of CBD resins, this is the one to choose if CBN is what interests you most.
It takes its name from its colour: brown with olive undertones, compact and smooth on the surface, more granular at the core. Its aroma stays herbal, close to the plant.

How the CBN Olive is made
All hemp resin works on the same principle: separating the trichomes – the tiny glands that cover the flowers and hold the cannabinoids and aromas – and pressing them into a compact mass. Dry sifting, ice-water extraction, pressing: the methods vary, but the aim is always to capture the best of the plant in a small volume.
CBN has an unusual history. It was the first cannabinoid ever isolated, at the end of the 19th century, by British chemists studying Indian charas, a resin collected by rubbing the flowers between the hands. It forms naturally as THC ages on exposure to air, light and heat, which is why aged hash always contains slightly more CBN than fresh hash.
Ageing alone only produces modest levels, in the region of a few per cent. A resin with 20% CBN is the result of a carefully designed formulation that puts this cannabinoid centre stage. For you, that means a clear profile: you know exactly which cannabinoid is the main component.
Hash-making originated in Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent. The CBN Olive, however, is made in France: the origin of the batch is separate from the origin of the technique, and it is a resin made from hemp in compliance with regulations.
Aroma and flavour of the CBN Olive
The CBN Olive has a pronounced herbal character: a profile reminiscent of the hemp plant itself, far from the fruity or dessert-like notes of some resins. Its terpenes – the molecules that give each variety its aroma – stay green and natural here.
It feels compact in the hand. Break it open and you find a core that is more granular than the outer layer, brown with olive highlights. If you prefer a spicier profile, Beldia CBN also combines CBN and CBD, with notes of cedar and clove.
To preserve its texture and aroma, keep it in an airtight container, away from light, heat and humidity.
About cannabinol
Research on cannabinol in humans is still limited, and personal experiences vary depending on the individual, the amount used and the context.
