Tangerine Dream does not belong in the heavy, squat Kush category, but in a line with more upward drive and a much brighter fruit side. G13, Afghan, and Neville’s A5 Haze do not turn into a loose sativa concept here, but into a plant that brings height, lateral structure, and yield together in a fairly coherent way.

In growth, it does not stay small. Indoors it usually sits around the one metre mark, while outdoor plants can rise noticeably higher. The frame feels upright and load bearing, with strong side branches taking over much of the flower weight. That is what gives the strain its shape: not a wide bush type plant, but a hybrid with more length and a clearly built framework.

Flowering lands at around 60 to 65 days, which keeps the cycle surprisingly tight for this kind of direction. Tangerine Dream therefore does not need a long window to combine height with worthwhile output. Indoor figures reach roughly 500 to 600 g/m², which suits a variety that uses its space not through density alone, but through structure and carrying capacity.

By the finish, it becomes obvious where the mass sits. The side branches carry heavy colas, and that is exactly why support often makes sense in the final weeks. Added to that are orange and red tones in the mature flower set, which sharpen the visual identity without forcing the strain to rely on colour alone.

The profile moves clearly toward mandarin, orange, and sweeter citrus notes, with berry and tropical elements remaining underneath. That keeps Tangerine Dream bright and immediately recognisable without making it feel thin. Its character comes just as much from that fruit axis as from the upright frame and the heavier finish.
