Plantheon Micromadness supplements Living Soil with vermicompost and trace elements

Plantheon Micromadness, 500 g, is a soil improver based on vermicompost and selected trace elements. It can be used in Living Soil, organic substrates and growing beds where the properties of the soil need to be supplemented in a targeted way. One pack is intended to treat up to 1 m² of bed area and can either be applied as an extract or incorporated directly into a substrate mix.

Vermicompost as a biologically active base

Vermicompost, also known as worm humus, is produced as composting worms process organic materials. It contains organic matter, humic substances and naturally occurring microorganisms, particularly bacteria and fungi. Its humic substances include humic acids and fulvic acids. Micromadness is designed to supplement the soil rather than replace a complete growing medium. Suitable foundations for biologically active cultivation can be found among the Living Soil mixes and substrates.

Selected trace elements for the soil system

Micromadness contains iron, manganese, zinc, copper and boron, along with further elements in very small quantities. The blend supplements the substrate with trace elements, while the humic and fulvic acids can bind and stabilise nutrients within the soil system. This makes the product useful for growers who want to complement an existing soil mix without replacing the complete substrate recipe.

Apply as an extract or mix directly into the substrate

For extract application, divide the contents of the pack into two equal portions. Prepare an extract from the first half and apply it evenly, then use the second half around two weeks later. Alternatively, mix Micromadness directly into the substrate when preparing new soil. Distribute the material evenly and water afterwards. Its area-based application is particularly practical for continuous substrate surfaces, such as a Living Soil Bed. Use the product no more than three times per season and avoid over-application.
