Lemongrass

Description

Lemongrass by Humboldt Seed Company

Lemongrass is one of those Humboldt Seed Company cultivars that does not lean on colour or dessert character. It is built around size, lemon edge and field use. The plants can come in big, with the kind of California stance that feels closer to a working season opener than a small boutique line.

Lemon Kush Bx3 x Humboldt Gelato gives the cultivar two clear sides. Lemon Kush brings sour citrus, a brighter top line and indica leaning frame, while Humboldt Gelato adds resin, modern density and a softer depth underneath. Lemongrass therefore becomes more than lemon alone. It has body behind the citrus.

The calendar stays surprisingly short for a plant with this much size. At 50 days of flowering, with an outdoor window from September 20 to October 5, the line finishes early enough to avoid a heavy late fall position. That is the practical center: large plants without a drawn out season.

Disease, mildew and mold resistance are not decorative traits here. They sit directly inside the cultivar logic. The flower structure is made for clean trimming, by machine or by hand, with enough firmness and visibility to keep the plant workable instead of only large.

Lemon, sour brightness, a little fuel and Gelato depth shape the line. Lemongrass carries its value through early maturity, large F4 plants, strong outdoor posture and a flower form that feels more like a working Humboldt farm row than a decorative citrus hybrid.
