About the EZ Test Heroin Purity kit
This easy-to-use test kit is designed to give a quick estimate of the purity of a heroin sample. Each kit contains a glass ampoule holding a chemical reagent bound in silica gel. When a precise amount of sample (exactly 20 mg) is added, a yellow/orange colour develops in the lower layer, which becomes darker the higher the purity.
The test is sensitive to commonly used cutting agents such as mannitol. It is compact, needs no special equipment and is a practical harm-reduction tool that helps people make better-informed, safer choices.
How to use
- Break open the glass ampoule.
- Add exactly 20 milligrams of the sample.
- Fit the plastic cap and shake well for a few seconds.
- Look at the yellow/orange colour in the lower layer and compare it with the colour chart supplied: darker means higher purity.
Weigh the sample as accurately as possible for a reliable reading. Dispose of the ampoule and sample safely after use, and store unused tests in a cool, dry place.
