Exotic Colours by Exotic Seed is a strain where colour is not just a decorative side note. The line was built from plants showing very dark red and purple tones, sometimes almost black. The intensity can vary from plant to plant, but this colour expression clearly belongs to the core of the strain.
The plant grows in a more column shaped way. The branches stay close to the main stem, so Exotic Colours should not be read as a wide spreading plant. In cultivation, that makes it fairly easy to organise, but it also calls for clean light distribution and enough airflow along the central structure, because the flower sites sit close to the plant body.
With a 9 to 10 week flowering time and an outdoor harvest in October, Exotic Colours is not in the very fastest group. Exotic Seed lists 550 to 600 g per m², with the yield coming more from even structure and dense filling around the stem than from long open side branches.
Feeding is an important point with this strain. Exotic Seed notes that Exotic Colours does not handle high conductivity values particularly well. It should therefore not be pushed too hard. Moderate feeding, a steady substrate response and close attention to the leaves make more sense here than an aggressive nutrient schedule.
The darker plants tend to show more floral and fresh notes, while less strongly coloured phenotypes can move more toward lemon, incense and a bituminous depth. That variation is part of what makes Exotic Colours interesting: colour, columnar growth, resin coverage and feeding sensitivity are more connected here than in a simple aroma driven strain.
