Clonex Mist Rooting Spray

Description

Clonex Mist is a recent development in propagation, created to make taking cuttings easier. Independent trials by Dr Lynette Morgan of Suntec Laboratory in New Zealand on ficus and dianthus showed that, compared with misting with water alone, cuttings:

• rooted up to 10 days faster
• had roots 30% longer
• had up to 156% more roots

How to use

Concentrate: dilute before use, 1 ml Clonex Mist Concentrate per 3 ml water. For best results use filtered or demineralised water, and use mixed solution within 3 days.

1. Spray the mother plant with Clonex Mist a few days before taking cuttings.
2. Cut the cutting at a sharp angle below the node with a scalpel.
3. Dip the cutting in Clonex gel and then straight into a propagation plug.
4. Spray the fresh cuttings again with Clonex Mist and place them in a propagator straight away.
5. Check for roots after a few days; once rooted, the plant can be transplanted.
6. Keep spraying every 2 to 3 days until the plant is well established. When transplanting into soil, cover the roots gently to avoid damage.
