California Octane

Description

California Octane by Humboldt Seed Company

California Octane does not sit in the soft Blueberry side of Humboldt Seed Company. It belongs closer to the louder farm rows, with gas up front, guava and cream behind it, and dense stacked flowers that feel more selected than styled.

The parent line of Dream Queen x I 369 x Papaya gives the cultivar its pressure. Dream Queen brings old Humboldt drive and plant mass, Papaya adds fruit depth, and I 369 works as the more modern hybrid piece between structure, resin and exotic edge. This is not a plain fruit cross. It is a heavier California hybrid with an Octane backbone.

HSC lists California Octane as S3 and marks it as a Farmer’s Favorite. That detail matters because the line carries a Foodoo Farms and Pheno Hunt background rather than just a name built for a shelf. It reads like a selection made for rows, sun, density and field behaviour.

At 60 days of flowering, with an outdoor window from October 1 to October 15, California Octane holds a clear fall position. The flowers are stacked, dark green, trichome heavy and can move into red and purple tones late. That compact weight separates it from looser sativa shapes and softer dessert hybrids.

The nose is the anchor: gas, guava, cream, a little caramel and a sharper California edge. The listed 26 percent THC remains cultivar data only. California Octane is a robust Humboldt farm selection with Dream Queen base, Papaya fruit trace and enough Octane bite to stay immediately recognizable in the HSC catalogue.
