The Blumat High Tank Connector 8mm, single, connects a water tank directly to the 8 mm feeding tube of a Tropf-Blumat irrigation system. It allows you to operate the watering system without an existing tap, using a suitable reservoir as the water source instead. The connector can be used for new installations or as a replacement part within an existing Tropf-Blumat setup.

Straightforward installation on a water tank

Installation requires a 12 mm hole in the tank. The seal is fitted on the inside to create a secure connection. You can then attach an 8 mm Blumat feeding tube and run the main supply line towards your plants.

Designed for gravity-fed Tropf-Blumat systems

When using gravity to supply the system, the water level in the tank must be above the Tropf-Blumat sensors. Blumat specifies a height difference of 0.5–14 m and recommends at least 1 m. Installing a Blumat Shut-Off Valve 8-8 mm shortly after the tank connector makes it easier to stop the water supply during installation or maintenance.

Keeping the water supply clean

If the water may contain suspended particles, particularly when using rainwater, a water filter for the elevated tank connector can help protect the irrigation system from contaminants.
