Banana Purp

Description

Banana Purp by Medical Seeds

Banana Purp by Medical Seeds brings together Banana OG x Purple Punch 2.0 in a feminized, photoperiod hybrid. The name already points toward its aromatic side, but the variety is not only about banana and berry notes. Its more useful detail is the plant frame: slim, well branched and able to gain clear size once flowering begins.

That stretch needs to be handled rather than ignored. Indoors, Banana Purp can work in SOG or ScrOG when the structure is shaped early and the side branches are kept readable. Medical Seeds lists a flowering time of around 65 to 70 days, with indoor yields around 450 g per m². It is not an ultra fast line, but the window is manageable for a plant with this genetic background.

The flowers are described by the breeder as large, hard and resin rich. That gives the final plant more density than the slimmer early frame might suggest. Outdoors, some pruning can make sense, especially when the goal is to widen the shape and bring the lateral growth more evenly into production.

For outdoor cultivation, Banana Purp is listed for the last weeks of October, with yields above 500 g per plant under suitable conditions. That asks for a site where the later finish remains realistic. It is not the strongest match for very early or cool outdoor windows, but the structure becomes more convincing when the season gives it enough time.

The profile clearly pulls from both parents: ripe banana from Banana OG, red fruit and berry notes from Purple Punch 2.0, plus a sweet earthy base. That part deserves space because it actually separates the variety. Banana Purp carries its product value through a mobile plant body, dense final flowers and a darker fruit driven profile rather than through effect led claims.
