Blue Cheese comes from a cross of a selection of Blueberry with the original Pure Big Buddha Cheese line (Big Buddha Cheese Male x Big Buddha Cheese female). The genetics incorporate 75% indica and 25% sativa, with deep influences of Skunk #1 and Afghani through its Cheese parent. The Blueberry male brings fruity fragrance and hints of berries, while the Cheese imparts that unmistakable musky aroma and milky taste. The result is a stable F1 hybrid, winner of the 2006 High Times Cannabis Cup and the IC 420 Growers Cup, recognising its genetic quality and pure British Cheesy genetics.

Cultivation and Production

Indoors, Blue Cheese flowers in about 8-10 weeks (56-70 days), forming plants with a compact Christmas tree-like structure, with typical Indica broad leaves. Indoor yields reach 500-600 g/m², while outdoor harvests are in late October, with yields of 400-1000 g per plant. It is a hardy strain, ideal for SOG, SCROG and even LST techniques, and tolerant to both beginner’s mistakes and less optimal conditions. Plants show good resistance to fungus and stress, respond well to pruning and training, providing an open structure that favours abundant flowering and compact, hard buds.
