Origin

Amnesia Purple was developed by expert breeders in Amsterdam, combining two award-winning strains into a unique, potent hybrid.

This cross of Purple Kush and Amnesia Lemon brings together renowned genetics, with a heritage that includes Amnesia, Lemon Skunk, OG Kush and Afghani, so the strain is celebrated for its distinct, well-rounded profile.

That blend of lineages gives Amnesia Purple feminized seeds a unique aroma, flavor and potency, a well-rounded experience for cultivators and users alike. This Amsterdam-born strain has gained popularity among enthusiasts worldwide.

Amnesia Purple Sativa or Indica?

Amnesia Purple is a sativa-dominant hybrid, 70% Sativa / 30% Indica, delivering energizing, cerebral effects with just a gentle touch of body relaxation. Although its lineage carries indica influences, the sativa side leads, making it ideal for anyone after an uplifting, stimulating experience.

With that sativa dominance, it is well suited to daytime use, promoting creativity, focus and mental clarity. The genetics give a smooth, motivating high without heavy sedation, so you stay clear-headed and energized.

Amnesia Purple Strain Effects

Amnesia Purple offers energizing, happy and uplifting effects, driven by its sativa-dominant genetics. People report a stimulating mental boost with a clear, creative head and just a subtle, grounding touch in the body, which makes it ideal for daytime creative or social activities.

It keeps the experience motivating rather than sedating, so you can enjoy mental clarity and focus with only a hint of body relaxation. The effects are long-lasting and well suited to anyone after an uplifting, daytime experience. Effects vary from person to person.

Purple Amnesia Strain Flowering Time

Amnesia Purple typically flowers in 8 to 10 weeks, a moderate timeframe for a sativa-dominant hybrid. That window allows full terpene and cannabinoid development, for aromatic, potent buds with purple accents and a generous resin coating.

With optimal conditions, it yields a visually striking harvest of dense, aromatic buds. Its genetics make it a rewarding choice for growers who appreciate both looks and potency in a sativa-forward hybrid.

How to Grow Amnesia Purple strain?

Amnesia Purple seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

• Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
• In our customers’ experience with Amnesia Purple, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. If you plan to grow these feminized seeds outdoors, we also have an indoor grow guide for optimal cultivation anywhere in the world. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 42.33 oz per plant (1200 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.31 to 1.64 oz/ft² (400 to 500 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Growing

Amnesia Purple thrives in a warm, sunny environment typical of Mediterranean and temperate climates. The optimal range is 70 to 85 ℉ (21 to 29 ℃), which promotes vigorous growth and robust yields. It enjoys well-draining soil and moderate humidity, so avoid overly wet conditions that invite mold and mildew, and aim for annual rainfall around 20 to 30 inches (510 to 760 mm) for healthy development.

In the United States, an ideal climate is found in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, all with the warm temperatures and abundant sunlight the strain needs. In the right location, growers can maximize the plant’s potential and enjoy its unique flavors and effects.

What does the Strain Smell Like?

The buds of Amnesia Purple are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends bright, sour lemon citrus with a fruity, herbal-spicy depth: the spicy Haze and sour lemon of Amnesia Lemon meeting the sweet grape and berry notes of Purple Kush.

Amnesia Purple makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy experience with a good dose of energy. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its citrus-herbal profile.

Experiencing the Strain

With a Medium THC of 18% to 21%, Amnesia Purple brings a happy, energetic and uplifting state with a clear, creative head. It leaves you cheerful and motivated, ideal for daytime use.

It is a mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches. It grows well indoors or outdoors, with a similar production and a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

Amnesia Purple seeds are a mostly sativa strain that takes around 8 to 10 weeks from germination to harvest. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

Cannabis Terpenes Amnesia Purple Strain

Amnesia Purple carries a twelve-terpene profile that explains both its citrus-herbal aroma and the shape of its high: a bright, energetic, uplifting head with a light grounding in the body. Four terpenes lead the blend and account for most of what you taste and feel.

Cannabis seeds are sold for collection and genetic preservation. Check the law in your country before germinating them.
