Growers’ Choice triploid varieties offer great potential in terms of vigor, resistance, and production. However, it’s important to keep in mind one key aspect of their performance:

Recommended vegetative photoperiod: 24 hours of continuous light

Some of these genetics have a “Fast Version” line as their parent, which causes a strong tendency to flower too early if they don’t receive enough light. If they are grown with less than 24 hours of light during the vegetative phase (for example, 18/6), they may begin to flower earlier than desired.

This can cause:

• Plants smaller than usual

• Reduced bud production

To avoid this and obtain maximum yield , the seed bank strongly recommends maintaining a 24/0 photoperiod during the vegetative phase , before moving on to flowering (12/12).

This recommendation doesn’t mean they’re autoflowering. They’re photoperiod-dependent plants, but with a special sensitivity to photoperiod due to their genetics.
