Plagron Perlite 60 Litres – airy substrate for healthy root growth

Plagron Perlite is a proven substrate additive for growers who want to make their soil lighter, airier and more structurally stable. This expanded mineral improves the structure of the growing medium and supports an optimal supply of air and water to the roots.

Thanks to its porous structure, perlite can store water while also increasing oxygen availability in the root zone. This helps reduce waterlogging and supports healthy root development. Especially in dense or heavy substrates, perlite is an easy way to significantly improve drainage and aeration.

Plagron Perlite is sterile and can be used both as an additive in substrate mixes and for seed propagation. For loosening soil, a mixing ratio of around 10 to 20 percent by volume is recommended. This allows you to adjust the structure of your growing medium to the needs of your plants.

Benefits of Plagron Perlite

• Reliably loosens soil and growing media
• Improves air supply in the root zone
• Supports better water distribution throughout the substrate
• Helps reduce compaction and waterlogging
• Sterile and therefore also suitable for seed propagation
• Ideal for custom substrate mixes in indoor and garden cultivation

Application

Mix Plagron Perlite evenly into your growing medium to make it looser and more air-permeable. For most applications, an addition of around 10 to 20 percent by volume is recommended. The denser the base substrate, the more perlite can help improve its structure.
