Ice Cream (gefeminiseerde zaden)

Beschrijving

Ice Cream is one of the most recognized strains in the Paradise Seeds catalog, a feminized variety with indica dominance (60%) that owes its name to its characteristic creamy vanilla flavor. Awarded at several editions of the Highlife Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, it has earned a place among growers seeking a vigorous, productive plant with an aromatic profile reminiscent of dessert. Its fast growth and stable behavior also make it a very rewarding option for beginners.

Ice Cream Genetics

According to the seed bank itself, Ice Cream is born from the cross between Afghan Skunk x White Widow. This combination brings the resinous base and potency from the Afghan-Skunk side together with the structure and vigor of the legendary White Widow, resulting in a stable and homogeneous hybrid. Its balance comes from this heritage: the indica component defines the body and abundance of trichomes, while the sativa touch adds clarity. The result is a robust plant, easy to manage with a very distinct identity.

Growing Ice Cream Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, it stands out for its fast growth and minimal stretch, making it very comfortable to manage in small spaces. Its branched structure responds very well to both multibranch cultivation and the Sea of Green (SOG) method, and usually stays below 120-150 cm in height. It flowers in around 8-9 weeks (about 55-60 days) and offers yields of up to 500 g/m² of dense buds loaded with resin.

Outdoors, it prefers warm, sunny Mediterranean-type climates, where it reaches its maximum resin potential, although it also performs well in more northern latitudes. Harvest arrives in early October and, in optimal conditions, a single plant can exceed 700 g. Its high trichome production also makes it a very interesting candidate for resin extraction.

Aromas, Flavors and Effects of Ice Cream

Ice Cream’s main attraction is its organoleptic profile. It’s dominated by a sweet aroma of creamy vanilla, accompanied by pine notes and an old-school skunk background, with some hints reminiscent of ripe fruit. On the palate, it maintains that dessert-like quality, with smooth and sweet smoke that leaves a persistent and highly recognizable aftertaste.

As for its effects, it’s a hybrid variety with balanced character. It starts in a stimulating and sociable way, with an alert edge inherited from its sativa side, then settles into a deep body relaxation typical of its indica dominance. This combination makes it versatile and enjoyable at different times of the day.
