Tightvac 3.8 litre – airtight, light-protected storage for larger quantities
The Tightvac 3.8 litre airtight storage and curing container is suitable for dried herbs, coffee, tea and other dry goods. Its patented push-button vacuum closure displaces air as the lid is fitted and then provides an airtight seal. The opaque black body also reduces light exposure, making it particularly useful for storing light-sensitive contents.
Simple vacuum closure with no additional equipment
To close the container, press the lid down whilst holding the button. Air is displaced from the container before the lid seals securely. Pressing the button again releases the closure for opening. No pump, electricity or additional equipment is required. At 3.8 litres, this is one of the larger sizes in the range. Other capacities are available in the Tightvac storage container range.
Suitable for curing and longer-term storage
Once herbs have been dried, the Tightvac can be used as a closed container for subsequent storage. Its opaque black body provides additional protection from direct light. For controlled storage conditions, humidity can be monitored separately and a suitable humidity regulator added when required. A Truemidity Humidity Pack 62% regulates moisture in both directions; the 60 g version is intended for containers up to 5 litres. Further storage solutions are available in the Curing & Drying range.
Large format made from food-grade plastic
Measuring 22 cm high and 18 cm in diameter, the container provides ample room for larger quantities. The manufacturer specifies a capacity of up to 1,000 g of coffee or dry goods for the 3.8 litre model. It is made from BPA-free, food-grade plastic, and Tightvac lists the product as NSF certified for food safety. To maintain the container and closure, wash it by hand and dry it thoroughly afterwards. It is not suitable for a dishwasher or microwave.
