Skunk #1 Regular by Dutch Passion

Skunk #1 Regular is one of the foundational lines that helped shape modern cannabis breeding. Its genetic base consists of 25 percent Afghani, 25 percent Mexican Acapulco Gold and 50 percent Colombian Gold. Inbred since 1978, the variety has developed into a stable and largely uniform regular population.

The 75 percent Sativa and 25 percent Indica balance produces vigorous plants with a clear upward drive. Long sturdy branches, short to medium internodal spacing and numerous growth points create a productive yet manageable frame. The Afghan component adds strength and density while keeping the flowering period shorter than that of more narrowly Sativa-led lines.

Flowers form in long, substantial clusters that range from light green to golden in colour. A favourable flower-to-leaf ratio keeps the structure relatively clean. During the final weeks, the blooms can gain enough weight to require additional support. Their increasing density also makes reliable airflow and controlled humidity important.

Average flowering time is approximately nine weeks, with Dutch Passion reporting around 500 g/m² indoors. In a spacious greenhouse, plants can become considerably larger and reach several metres in height. Outdoor cultivation is better suited to warm, dry and sunny regions because prolonged wet weather can become problematic once the flowers reach their full density.

The aroma remains unmistakably old-school Skunk. Pungent and pronounced, it combines sweet and sour elements with spicy, earthy and lightly fruity detail. Its consistency, recognisable structure and regular seed format also preserve its long-standing role as practical foundation material for further breeding work.
