Control two lighting zones with automated temperature protection

The Lumatek Digital Panel PLUS 2.0 (HID + LED) provides central control for compatible Lumatek horticultural lighting across two zones. This dual-signal digital controller supports HID ballasts via RS485 and controllable Lumatek LED fixtures via an analogue 0–10 V signal. It is suitable for larger indoor installations, two separate grow rooms or systems where two independently configured lighting circuits need to be managed from one controller.

Two zones for HID or LED lighting

Each zone can control up to 200 compatible HID ballasts or up to 50 LED fixtures, giving a total capacity of 400 HID units or 100 LEDs per controller. LED fixtures or drivers within one zone must have the same power rating, while the second zone can be configured for a different rating. Suitable controllable fixtures are available in the Lumatek LED grow light range.

Programme output, switching times and sunrise periods

Light output can be adjusted with 1% regulation accuracy. Compatible LEDs have a 10–100% adjustment range, while the available HID range depends on the ballast wattage. The controller can also store up to six switching or dimming times within each 24-hour period. An adjustable 0–30 minute sunrise and sunset function gradually raises or lowers light output rather than changing it instantly. Stored parameters, time and date remain saved when the controller is disconnected from its power supply.

Temperature-based protection

Each zone has its own supplied 5 m temperature sensor. If the ambient temperature exceeds the selected threshold, the controller can first reduce the connected lighting to its minimum dimming level. If temperatures continue to rise, an automatic safety shutdown can switch the lighting off. Once the temperature has fallen again, a restart delay of 0–30 minutes can be selected in five-minute increments.

Expanding larger LED installations

Multiple compatible Lumatek LED fixtures can be connected in series. Additional fixtures in this type of installation can be linked using the Lumatek Daisy Chain Control Cable. The Digital Panel is designed exclusively for compatible controllable Lumatek fixtures, LED drivers and ballasts.
