Hi-Biscus by Humboldt Seed Company

Hi-Biscus comes out of Eastern Humboldt and carries that origin more quietly than the fruit forward name first suggests. Ronnie of 8 Mile Family Farms crossed Zkittles with Blueberry Muffin in 2017, and the line was then worked for several years until the bright flower side moved toward hibiscus, punch and ripe fruit.

Zkittles x Blueberry Muffin is more than a sweet pairing here. Zkittles brings colour, sugar fruit and a broader candy direction, while Blueberry Muffin adds the known HSC berry body and more row steadiness underneath. That keeps Hi-Biscus from reading flat or sugary, giving it a floral lift over the fruit.

The cultivar sits at 55 days of flowering, which keeps it in a short photoperiod window. Outdoors, maturity lands roughly between September 25 and October 10. For a sativa led HSC line, that early timing matters because it ties brightness, vigor and field use together without pushing far into wet fall weather.

Resistance to pests and diseases, together with vigorous development, was not a secondary consideration in the selection. That is where Hi-Biscus becomes more serious than a simple fruit pack. The plants are meant to stay lively and steady while the flowers build their bright sugar blossom direction, closer to Eastern Humboldt field work than candy shelf styling.

Fruit punch, hibiscus flower and Blueberry Muffin base give the line its signature. With 20 percent THC, Hi-Biscus is strongest as a floral fruit Humboldt selection with 8 Mile roots, early timing and enough plant resilience behind the pretty surface.
