Eazy Plug 77 propagation tray for consistent germination and rooting

The Eazy Plug propagation tray with 77 square plugs is a ready-to-use growing medium for germinating seeds and rooting cuttings. Each plug provides a defined rooting space and retains its shape after watering, making propagation and subsequent transplanting easier to manage. With 77 individual positions, the tray is suitable for larger batches of seedlings as well as organised propagation from multiple cuttings.

Predetermined conditions for young roots

Eazy Plug produces the plugs from organic materials held together by a special bonding process. The medium has a fixed air-to-water ratio together with predetermined pH and EC values. For its standard rooting plug, the manufacturer specifies a pH of 5.9 and an EC of 1 mS/cm. This gives you a prepared propagation medium without having to mix loose compost or fill individual starter pots. Alternative media for seedlings and cuttings are available in the propagation media range.

Moisten, drain and plant

Before use, fully moisten the plugs and allow excess water to drain away freely. The plugs should not be squeezed or deliberately dried after soaking. You can then place a seed into the prepared opening or insert a cutting into the plug. During rooting or germination, keep the tray in suitably warm and humid conditions while ensuring that excess irrigation water can continue to drain.

Firm structure for straightforward transplanting

The special bonding process keeps each plug together as one unit. Once roots have developed, this makes it easier to move the young plant without unnecessarily disturbing the root zone. For the next stage of cultivation, a rooted plug can be transferred into a larger Eazy Plug Eazy Block. The plugs are supplied dry and readily take up water again when prepared for use.
