Eazy Block for the next growth stage after propagation in an Eazy Plug
The Eazy Plug Eazy Block 7.5 × 7.5 × 6 cm is an organic propagation and growing block designed for young plants that have already rooted in a square Eazy Plug. Its larger volume gives developing roots more space while maintaining a controlled balance between moisture and air. It is suitable for moving seedlings and cuttings into their next growth stage before transplanting into a larger medium or, within the Eazy Plug system, onto an Eazy Pyramid.
A simple next step for rooted Eazy Plugs
The recess in the top accepts a suitable square Eazy Plug, allowing you to transfer the rooted propagation cube without disturbing the established root zone. Self-regulating air and moisture balance
The stabilised organic medium has predetermined pH and EC characteristics and absorbs water evenly. Before inserting the plant, fully moisten the block with water adjusted to pH 5.8, then allow excess water to drain away. The block should not be squeezed. Keeping the base free to drain allows the medium to regulate its moisture content while maintaining the air-to-water balance needed around developing roots.
Air pruning encourages a more branched root structure
The Eazy Block is used without a closed plastic wrapping. When growing root tips reach the outer surface and encounter air, their outward extension is restricted. This air-pruning effect encourages further branching within the block. Within the Eazy Plug system, the manufacturer’s current guidance recommends starting a light nutrient solution after around five days at EC 1.2–1.4 and pH 5.8. Once sufficiently rooted, the block can be transferred onto an Eazy Plug Eazy Pyramid for the next stage.
