Cataract Cake comes from Cataract Kush and Wedding Cake. DNA Genetics describes the feminized cross as 70% indica and 30% sativa. Cataract Kush contributes to the compact structure, while Wedding Cake adds dense flower formation and a sweeter aromatic side.

The plants remain relatively short and develop broad lateral branching, making them easy to distribute across an indoor space. A Screen of Green or Sea of Green makes particularly good use of the low structure and closely spaced flowering sites.

Flowering takes 8-9 weeks. DNA Genetics lists approximately 350-400 g/m² and describes the flowers as dense, firm, and heavily coated in resin. Yield remains in the medium range, while flower density and resin coverage are among the more distinctive traits.
