CAN-Lite Pre-Filter Fleece – Dust Protection for Your Carbon Filter

The CAN-Lite Pre-Filter Fleece is a replacement outer filter layer designed to protect CAN-Lite activated carbon filters from dust and airborne dirt. Acting as the first stage of filtration, it captures particles before the extracted air reaches the activated carbon bed. This helps maintain consistent airflow and reduces unnecessary contamination of the carbon filter media. It is a practical replacement component for maintaining extraction systems in grow tents and indoor growing rooms.

Keeping Dust Away from the Activated Carbon

Air circulating through a grow tent can carry dust, plant debris and other small particles towards the extraction system. The outer pre-filter fleece captures some of these contaminants before they enter the activated carbon filter.

By reducing dust build-up, the fleece helps protect the carbon bed and limits additional airflow resistance caused by accumulated dirt. This allows your CAN-Lite activated carbon filter to continue performing its main function of reducing unwanted odours in extracted air.

Different Sizes for CAN-Lite Filters

The replacement fleece is available for CAN-Lite filter models with rated airflow capacities ranging from 150 to 4500 m³/h. Each version is intended for a corresponding filter size.

When selecting a replacement, check the exact model and dimensions of your existing carbon filter. Some filters with the same rated airflow capacity are available in different configurations, so choosing the correct version is important for a suitable fit.

If you use another brand of carbon filter, you can explore our range of other activated carbon filter sleeves to find a compatible replacement.

Regular Replacement Helps Maintain Airflow

Dust gradually collects in the pre-filter fleece during normal operation. As the material becomes increasingly contaminated, airflow resistance can rise and affect the performance of the extraction system. Inspecting the fleece regularly and replacing it when necessary helps prevent excessive build-up.

During replacement, ensure that the new fleece remains clean and completely dry. Avoid exposing it to water or heavy contamination. The appropriate replacement interval depends on the amount of airborne dust and the operating conditions in your growing environment.
