Thin Mint Frosting (graines féminisées)

Description

Thin Mint Frosting F1 is the latest offering from Barney’s Farm within their F1 Hybrids collection: a first-generation feminized seed that combines potency, uniformity, and truly exceptional resin production. With a 70% indica dominance and THC levels up to 30%, this variety is designed for experienced growers seeking solid and predictable results harvest after harvest.

Genetics: the cross behind Thin Mint Frosting F1

This F1 hybrid is born from the cross between Thin Mint and Banana Frosting, two varieties with a very pronounced organoleptic profile and recognized for their trichome load. The F1 condition guarantees remarkable vigor; the plants show uniform vegetative development, a smooth transition to flowering, and a resin coverage that makes them especially interesting for extraction production. Precisely because of this genetic stability, Barney’s Farm expressly advises against reproducing this variety, as F2 seeds would lose the uniformity and consistency characteristic of F1 status.

Growing Thin Mint Frosting F1: indoors and outdoors

Indoors, Thin Mint Frosting F1 flowers in 8 – 9 weeks (56–63 days) and reaches between 100 and 140 cm in height, a very manageable size for spaces with standard ceilings. Its compact indica structure, with a broad canopy and dense lateral branches, responds very well to topping, LST, and SCROG, techniques that can extract maximum potential from its productive capacity. The breeder recommends an intermediate experience level; it’s not the ideal variety for those facing their first grow. With proper management, it can reach 550 g/m², with high-density buds in dark forest green tones with purple hues and amber pistils.

Outdoors, the plant gains stature and can reach 150 – 180 cm, with harvests occurring around the first or second week of October and a production of up to 700 g/plant.

Aromas, flavors and effects of Thin Mint Frosting

The olfactory profile of this variety is complex and very pleasant; the aroma is sweet, earthy and nutty, with layers of fresh mint, soft vanilla, and notes of ripe berries. When passing through the grinder, a subtle citrus touch appears along with a slight fuel background that adds depth to the whole. On the palate, the experience continues with an entry of fresh mint and silky cream, followed by ripe berries, fresh lemon, and a background of toasted nuts with soft spices; the finish is long, with an earthy sweetness and a persistent freshness that makes it especially pleasant.

The effects begin with a pronounced mood elevation, euphoric and cheerful, that progressively extends toward a deep physical relaxation that runs through muscles and joints without becoming overwhelming. Under normal conditions, it doesn’t generate an intense couch-lock, making it suitable for active rest at the end of the day or for managing accumulated stress; in longer sessions, it can lead to a state of deep rest, something that users seeking physical relief also value.
