Description

RedRum is a feminized and photoperiod variety created by Botafarm California, a seed bank founded in Los Angeles by Frenchman Jay R. It’s a balanced 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid that delivers a sweet and candy-like aromatic profile with a gassy undertone, backed by a high THC content, around 20-25%, and a hybrid-type effect. An option designed for growers seeking modern American-style genetics, abundant resin, and a pronounced terpene profile.

Genetics: Zangria x Tartz

RedRum was born from crossing Zangria and Tartz. Zangria contributes the fruitier and sweeter side of the cross, with those notes of citrus cherry and grape candy typical of Cookies-type lineages, while Tartz pushes toward a darker and heavier character, with pastry and fuel notes. The result is a hybrid plant with balanced structure, good lateral branching, and compact buds heavily loaded with trichomes.

In cultivation: balanced and forgiving

Indoors, RedRum completes its flowering in about 10 weeks, with medium-level production and dense buds that respond well to both SOG and SCROG methods. It can also be grown outdoors. Like the rest of the Botafarm line, this is genetics selected for stability, which makes the work easier even for those without many harvests under their belt.

Flavor and effect: cherry, grape, and gas

RedRum’s profile moves between sweet and heavy: cherry with a citrus touch, grape candy, and a gassy undertone that appears when grinding the buds and lingers in the smoke. Its abundant resin also makes it a very interesting candidate for extractions. The effect is hybrid-type, consistent with its 50/50 balance and with THC levels in the 20-25% range.
