Red Taffy (graines féminisées)

Description

Red Taffy is a feminized seed from the Californian seed bank Doja Pak, the result of a premium cross combining two top-tier genetics. With a THC content ranging between 22 and 26%, this balanced hybrid stands out for its exceptional resin production, striking purple hues in late flowering, and a sweet, fruity aromatic profile that makes it a benchmark within the catalog.

Genetics and cross: White Taffi x Lemon Cherry Gelato

Red Taffy is the result of crossing White Taffi with Lemon Cherry Gelato. White Taffi is Doja Pak’s own creation, obtained from Laffy Taffy and Fruity Pebble OG, which contributes vigor, a robust structure with good internodal spacing, and spear-shaped buds with highly characteristic purple-garnet shades. Lemon Cherry Gelato, resulting from the cross between Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies, introduces indica genetic depth and a complex creamy citrus aromatic profile. The combination of both lines results in a hybrid plant with outstanding resin potential, suitable for both flower production and quality extraction production.

Indoor cultivation: structure, techniques, and yield

In indoor cultivation, Red Taffy completes flowering in 8 to 9 weeks and offers an estimated yield of between 450 and 600 g/m² under optimal conditions. Its compact and robust structure generates dense buds with excellent bag appeal: dark green tones with purple reflections, reddish pistils, and a coating of crystalline trichomes that intensifies in the final flowering stages. It responds very well to topping and LST, techniques that allow optimizing light distribution and standardizing production. This is a medium-advanced difficulty variety: to fully express its terpenoid profile and maximize resin, it requires stable environmental conditions and some prior experience from the grower.

Aromas, flavors, and effects

Red Taffy’s aromatic profile is built around notes of cherry, citrus, and cream, with earthy, sour, and spicy nuances that add complexity to the whole. Its dominant terpenes (limonene, myrcene, and caryophyllene) shape a bouquet reminiscent of fruit candies with a creamy and herbaceous background. On the palate, the flavor is sweet and caramelized, with hints of vanilla, lemon, and red fruits that extend into a highly characteristic fruity and sugary aftertaste.

The effects begin with a rapid cerebral onset that awakens euphoria, energy, and sociability, without leading to overstimulation or excessive sedation. Progressively, a body relaxation sets in that complements the active mental state without reaching couch-lock. This balance makes it a very suitable option for social contexts or creative activities, both during the day and in the evening hours. Given its high THC content, it is recommended for experienced users.
