Northern Lights (graines féminisées)

Description

Northern Lights is one of the most recognized varieties in cannabis history. Barney’s Farm revives this classic in feminized version, offering a plant of pure indica genetics with outstanding production and a deeply relaxing effects profile, designed for both experienced growers and those seeking a reliable variety with traditional character.

Genetics and origin: the heritage of two pure lineages

This variety is the result of crossing a Thai landrace with an Afghani, two reference genetics that have shaped much of modern cannabis. The result is a 100% indica and feminized plant that concentrates in each seed the most valued characteristics of its parents: compact structure, dense buds, and a trichome load so abundant it covers the flowers with a frosted appearance and markedly resinous feel. THC levels reach up to 26% according to the seed bank’s most recent data, placing this Northern Lights in the high-very high range in terms of potency.

Cultivation: compact, productive and adapted to indoor growing

Indoors, Barney’s Farm Northern Lights offers a flowering cycle of 55 to 60 days and maintains a contained height between 90 and 110 cm, making it a comfortable option for reduced growing spaces. Its production can reach 550 g/m², and it responds well to training and conducting techniques such as LST, topping, fimming, supercropping, ScrOG and mainlining, allowing space optimization and final yield maximization.

Outdoors, the plant gains size and can develop up to between 150 and 200 cm in height, with a harvest occurring in the third or fourth week of September. Under these conditions, production can reach 750 g per plant, a very high yield for a variety with bushy morphology and dense structure. The buds adopt a characteristic conical shape and may display purple hues in the final stages of flowering.

Aromas, flavors and effects: the essence of classic cannabis

This variety’s aromatic profile is deeply old-school: damp and pungent earth, fresh pine wood, and a spicy background reminiscent of the best traditional genetics from Central Asia. On the palate, flavors evolve toward a gentler register, with sweet citrus notes that contrast with the earthy weight and pine touch, leaving a balanced and persistent aftertaste.

The effects arrive progressively and settle in solidly. The initial sensation is one of gentle euphoria and general well-being, giving way to deep muscle relaxation with a marked sedative character. Due to its predominantly physical profile and potency, this Northern Lights is especially suitable for nighttime consumption or at the end of the day, when the body appreciates disconnecting and achieving restorative rest.
