Melon Gum

Description

Melon Gum by Pure Instinto

Melon, berries and strawberry bubblegum give Melon Gum a clear fruit core that separates it from darker OG, gas or Kush lines. The cross of Bubblegum x Lavender brings a mostly indica leaning direction, while the plant expression remains more open than a very tight, squat line.

The short flowering window is one of the main points here. Pure Instinto lists 50 to 55 days, and SeedFinder also places the variety in a fast flowering range. Together with 400 to 450 g per m² indoors and 500 to 850 g per plant outdoors, this is not only an aroma-led strain, but a quick photoperiod hybrid with solid yield data and a resin marked flower surface.

The structure should not be read too narrowly. The breeder data lists medium size, while the description also notes that the hybrid can grow quite tall. That makes early, calm guidance more useful than late correction. Low Stress Training can help spread the height more evenly, while Screen of Green fits when side branches should be guided into a cleaner, more balanced surface.

In flower, Pure Instinto describes a sticky white resin layer and possible blue, red and darker colour expression. At the same time, the variety is not described as highly resistant to mould, fungi or disease. Airflow and humidity control therefore matter more here than with more forgiving lines. Moderate defoliation can make sense when dense flowers and leaf mass begin to close the plant too much.

The aroma direction stays deliberately fruity: sweet melon, berries and strawberry bubblegum form the core, while terpinolene gives the variety a brighter aromatic edge. With 18 to 21 percent THC, Melon Gum is clearly defined in the data sheet. Its strongest impression comes from short flowering, Bubblegum x Lavender background, resin marked flowers and the need for clean climate management rather than a careless run.
