MAF

Description

MAF by Growers Choice

MAF is not a strain that depends on oversized language. Its real value lies in finishing very early, which is exactly why it stands out in more difficult outdoor conditions. While many lines only become serious once humidity, cold, or mold start turning into real problems, MAF is already moving toward a much earlier finish.

With an outdoor harvest in the 3rd week of September, its role becomes immediately clear. This is not a variety built around a late finish, but around safety, speed, and getting the run completed before the more difficult autumn phase sets in. That makes it relevant not only for cooler or more changeable regions, but also for any setup where an earlier finish matters more than maximum season length.

The base of Mighty Mite x Amstel Freezeland fits that picture well. This is less about show and more about function. The strain reads like a line meant to bring together resilience, early bloom, and useful output without slipping into a thin or forgettable early variety.

With 550 to 650 g/m² indoors and a frame of around 100 to 120 cm inside, MAF also stays easy to place in that context. It is not a large sprawling plant, but more a compact to medium type that gets its performance through a direct and controllable cycle rather than wild mass. The fact that it is described as highly mold resistant fits that function exactly.

MAF therefore makes the most sense in runs where early finishing, weather tolerance, and a sober outdoor logic matter more than legend value or trend profile. Its strength lies in its clear role as a very early, useful, and robust line.
