About the EZ Test Ecstasy kit

This compact test kit is designed to check what an ecstasy-type pill or powder actually contains. Each kit contains one glass ampoule holding a chemical reagent (often based on the Marquis reagent) bound in silica gel. When a small sample is added, specific colour changes appear, which you compare with the colour chart supplied.

The test needs no special equipment and is a practical harm-reduction tool that helps people make better-informed, safer choices. Please note: this is an indicative identification test, not a purity measurement.

How to use

1. Scrape a tiny amount from the pill, or take a small amount of powder.
2. Carefully break open the glass ampoule (do not use force).
3. Add the sample to the ampoule, close it with the cap and shake well.
4. Watch the colour change over a few minutes and compare it with the colour chart supplied (for example, purple indicates MDMA).

Always use only a small sample. Dispose of the ampoule and sample safely after use, and store unused tests in a cool, dry place.
