In growth, the variety usually appears strong and fairly direct. Its structure does not feel overly decorative, but instead focused on moving energy into flower production at an early stage. Under stable conditions, this often leads to a dense and cohesive plant shape that fits well with its genetic background.

Flowering time is generally placed at around 7 to 8 weeks, although some earlier phenotypes may finish a little sooner. Yields are often listed at up to 650 g per m². Figures like that show the direction of the variety clearly enough without needing to be treated as a fixed standard.

Aromatically, Critical Mass sits in a sweet range with a citrus edge and an earthy undertone. Because of that, it does not come across as sharp or exotic, but more as full, soft, and classically built. That also supports its place as a variety defined more by substance than by striking aromatic extremes.

As flower density increases, the line benefits from some attention to climate during the later stage. That combination of heavy mass, short flowering time, and a tight floral structure is also a large part of what has kept Critical Mass so recognizable over the years.
