Description
Blumat Pressure Reducer 0.5 bar for controlled irrigation pressure
The Blumat Pressure Reducer 0.5 bar connects a Blumat irrigation system to a pressurised mains water supply. It fits directly onto a tap and reduces the incoming pressure to a fixed 0.5 bar under typical mains water pressure. This makes it useful for growers who want to supply their irrigation setup from a tap while maintaining a low system pressure.
Direct connection to the tap
The inlet uses a 3/4-inch connection for a suitable water tap. This allows the reducer to serve as the transition between a pressurised water supply and the irrigation system without requiring an elevated reservoir. Further components for building or extending a setup are available among the Blumat irrigation systems and accessories.
Connection for 8 mm supply tubing
The outlet includes a compression fitting for 8 mm supply tubing, allowing the irrigation system’s main feed line to connect directly to the pressure reducer. For new installations or longer runs, the Blumat 8 mm feeding tube provides a compatible main supply line.
Low pressure for Blumat irrigation
With its fixed 0.5 bar outlet pressure, the reducer prevents the higher pressure of a typical mains supply from being fed directly into the connected Blumat supply tubing. It therefore provides a straightforward interface between the tap and the irrigation system.
