Blumat Classic, 1 pc.

Description

Blumat Classic for automatic, electricity-free houseplant watering

Blumat Classic automatically supplies houseplants with water without requiring electricity, batteries or a pump. A water-filled clay cone sits in the growing medium and draws water through a thin tube from a separate reservoir. This makes the system useful for routine plant care as well as weekends and holidays when regular hand watering is inconvenient.

Water delivery responds to soil moisture

The porous clay cone reacts to moisture conditions around the roots. Water is drawn from the reservoir and released through the cone as required. When the water level in the reservoir is level with or slightly below the green Blumat cap, delivery is approximately 75 ml per 24 hours. Placing the reservoir lower reduces the water output, while a higher water level increases the flow.

Simple installation without a fixed water supply

Before use, the clay cone is completely filled with water and inserted into thoroughly moistened growing medium. The end of the tube is then placed in a water-filled container. The plant can remain in its usual position, and Blumat Classic can be used with both soil and clay-based granulates.

Flexible watering for individual houseplants

Multiple units can be used when several plants need watering. Further options are available in the Blumat irrigation systems range. For larger houseplants with greater water requirements, the Blumat Classic XL uses a larger clay cone and provides increased water delivery. Thorough cleaning approximately once a year helps maintain reliable operation.
