Calibrate electronic pH meters with a reliable pH 7 reference
GIB Industries pH7 pH-buffer solution, 300ml is a reference solution for calibrating electronic pH meters. Regular calibration helps you identify measurement deviations and provides a sound basis for dependable pH readings. It is therefore useful for growers who monitor the pH of nutrient solutions or irrigation water with an electronic meter.
Calibration at pH 7.0
For calibration, the measuring electrode is immersed in a small quantity of the pH 7 buffer solution before the meter’s calibration function is used. Always follow the instructions supplied with your particular instrument. Suitable devices are available in the range of electronic pH meters.
For one-point and two-point calibration
Depending on the meter, pH 7.0 can be used as the reference for one-point calibration. If your instrument supports two-point calibration, an additional reference solution is required. The GIB Industries pH4 buffer solution provides the corresponding pH 4 reference.
Handling the calibration solution
The 300 ml bottle is light-proof. Pour out only the quantity required for calibration and avoid contaminating the buffer with residues from the electrode. For keeping a pH electrode moist between measurements, use a separate KCL storage solution.
