Calibrate pH meters reliably with a pH 4.0 buffer solution

GIB Industries pH4 pH-buffer solution contains 300 ml of calibration fluid for electronic pH meters. Regular calibration helps correct deviations in the meter and allows you to monitor the pH of nutrient solutions or irrigation water reliably. It is therefore suitable for both occasional measurements and regular plant care in indoor and outdoor growing.

Defined pH 4.0 reference value

For calibration, the measuring electrode is placed in a small amount of buffer solution according to the instructions supplied with your meter, after which the calibration procedure is started. The solution provides a defined pH 4.0 reference point. Suitable instruments can be found in the pH meters for growers range.

For one-point and two-point calibration

The required calibration points depend on the individual meter. Many electronic pH meters support either one-point or two-point calibration. For two-point calibration, the pH 4 solution can be used together with the GIB Industries pH 7 buffer solution available within the measuring and dosing accessories range. This allows compatible meters to be checked against two defined pH reference values.

Supporting proper pH electrode care

Calibration is only one part of maintaining a pH meter. Correct storage of the sensitive electrode is also important between measurements.
