Custard Cream by Cream of the Crop
Custard Cream is not a line that works only because of a sweet name. It becomes more interesting where an older, heavier foundation suddenly turns into a noticeably soft and sugary finish.
The line is listed as Afghani x Nepalese Hash Plant x Hawaiian. That mix explains quite well why Custard Cream does not feel like a polished modern dessert cross. Beneath the sweeter surface sits a much more classic structure, which gives the variety more weight than vanilla language alone would suggest.
Indoors, it usually stays on the smaller and more compact side, while outdoors it can take up much more room. That makes it useful indoors for calmer and more controlled setups without feeling flat or overly stocky. Outside, given more time and space, it develops in a very different frame.
Flowering is commonly placed at around 65 to 70 days. Published yields are usually given at about 400 g/m² indoors and roughly 550 g outdoors. The buds are often described as large, dense, and heavily resinous, which fits the heavier overall character of the line quite well.
In cultivation, this is less a variety for aggressive intervention and more one for clean guidance. Indoors, lightly opening the structure can help light and airflow work deeper into the plant, but harsh handling is not really what the line asks for. Its identity comes more from calmness, resin, and density than from speed or stretch.
In profile, Custard Cream clearly leans toward a sweet vanilla side, backed by hashy and slightly spiced undertones. That contrast between a dessert-like surface and a more grounded old-school core is what makes the line more readable than many modern sweet-named varieties.
