Lemon Cake by Heavyweight Seeds

With Lemon Cake, the sweet name is not the main point. The variety becomes more interesting once it starts putting weight into flower. The cross of Lemon Skunk and Cheese creates a clearly sativa leaning line with vigorous growth and large, pistil covered colas forming along the internodes.

Because Lemon Cake carries 80 percent sativa and 20 percent indica, the space should not be filled without a plan. A short vegetative phase can be enough when the plant starts cleanly. Indoors, light topping, LST or a calm SCROG setup can help keep the canopy more even before the flowers begin to gain real weight.

Flowering takes around 9 to 10 weeks. During that window, Lemon Cake shows its real character: not small, not slow, but vigorous and later heavier in the upper flower zones than the name might suggest. Support toward the end of bloom is not an ornamental note here; it belongs directly to the way the plant builds.

Indoor height is commonly given at around 90 to 140 cm, with outdoor plants reaching roughly 120 to 180 cm. Yield usually sits around 600 to 700 g/m² indoors, while up to 800 g per plant is possible outdoors under suitable conditions. Those figures explain the strain better than flavour rhetoric: strong growth, heavy flowering and a clear need for guidance and airflow.

The profile stays firmly in citrus, Lemon Skunk and a more muscular Cheese undertone. That keeps Lemon Cake from reading like a light, fleeting citrus strain. Its identity in the Heavyweight range sits exactly there: a fresh edge at the front, a stronger body underneath and enough flower pressure to require support at the right time.
