Colossus by ACE Seeds

Colossus by ACE Seeds is a feminized variety for growers looking for a large framed, sativa dominant hybrid line with high production potential and a clearly Thai-Haze driven identity. Within the ACE catalogue, it holds a distinctive position because it combines Golden Tiger 2.0 with a dominant Thai Koh Chang axis and Neville’s A5 Haze, resulting in a line that merges classic Southeast Asian sativa energy with greater structural stability, yield, and overall mass.

In cultivation, Colossus shows a vigorous, tall, and strongly branched plant development with a clearly sativa dominant architecture. The line is not built around compactness, but around volume, vitality, and wide flower production. This is exactly why it is especially suitable for more experienced growers who can manage strong vegetative expansion and give a large framed sativa hybrid enough space, light, and training. Depending on cultivation style, it fits well into SOG, SCROG, and horizontal training approaches.

With a flowering time of around 11 to 13 weeks, Colossus belongs to the later finishing feminized lines in the ACE programme. Yield is listed as high. The stated THC level is around 20 percent, accompanied by very low CBD values and measurable CBG content. The variety is recommended for latitudes from 0º to 43º and performs especially well in tropical, subtropical, and warm coastal climates. At the same time, it shows average to good resistance levels against spider mites and botrytis together with solid heat tolerance.

Phenotypically, Colossus expresses two main directions. The more common phenotype develops denser, more compact flower structures with strong bud density and high lateral production. The second, more strongly sativa dominant expression usually takes one to two weeks longer and produces looser, wilder flowers with an even clearer Thai character. This split is exactly what makes the line especially interesting for selection minded growers, because despite its strong overall consistency it still preserves meaningful expression range.

Another defining characteristic is its highly developed aromatic profile. Colossus is built around Thai citrus notes, sweet floral tones, mango, and incense, supported by earthy, gassy, and hashy background layers. In the terpene profile, very high levels of beta-myrcene and high amounts of limonene dominate, accompanied by beta-caryophyllene, alpha-humulene, guaiol, and smaller amounts of linalool and beta-pinene. This makes the line especially suitable for growers looking for a high yielding, aromatically distinctive, and clearly modern interpretation of a Thai-Haze hybrid.
