Clonex 50 ml – targeted rooting support for your cuttings

Clonex, 50ml by Growth Technology is a ready-to-use rooting gel for propagating ornamental plants from cuttings. Applied to the fresh cut before planting, it gives beginners and experienced growers a straightforward way to support root development. The formulation contains 3.3 g/l indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), a rooting-promoting active ingredient. Its gel consistency keeps the ingredient in direct contact with the treated stem end.

How to use Clonex on fresh cuttings

Prepare a moistened propagation medium and use a clean, sharp cutting tool, such as a GrowPRO disposable scalpel. Pour a small amount of gel into a separate, clean container. Dip approximately 10–20 mm of the freshly cut stem end into the gel, then carefully insert the cutting into a prepared planting hole.

Do not dip cuttings directly into the original bottle or return dispensed gel to it. Use Clonex undiluted: there is no need to mix it with water or add it to your irrigation water.

Match the medium and conditions to your cuttings

Propagation media such as Eazy Plug propagation cubes provide a place to establish your cuttings. An indoor propagator for cuttings helps retain humidity. Suitable temperatures, lighting and consistent moisture in the medium are also important. Rooting speed varies with plant species, cutting material and propagation conditions, so a fixed rooting time cannot be guaranteed.

Approved use, storage and safety

In Germany, the authorisation covers rooting ornamental plant cuttings in indoor rooms and greenhouses. Follow the uses specified on the label and the requirements in your country of use. Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Follow the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Wear protective gloves, long sleeves, long trousers and sturdy footwear when handling the gel. Protective gloves are also required when handling freshly treated plants. Do not allow product residues to enter watercourses or drains.

Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction.
