BioTabs Dünger Komplettset, XL – organic plant nutrition supported by beneficial soil life

The BioTabs Dünger Komplettset, XL brings together five complementary products for organic feeding and biological growing medium management. The system supplies nutrients while encouraging beneficial microbial activity around the roots. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers, it offers a practical approach to growing in soil or coco with less frequent fertiliser preparation. With 20 BioTabs slow-release tablets and generous quantities of the supporting products, the XL set is designed for use across multiple plant containers.

Five components working together in the root zone

Startrex provides the foundation of the feeding system. This organic soil improver contains fulvic acids, humus and beneficial soil bacteria. Mycotrex introduces nine species of endomycorrhizal fungal spores. These fungi form a symbiotic relationship with plant roots, helping plants access water and nutrients from the growing medium.

Bactrex adds further beneficial bacteria and Trichoderma fungi to the root zone. These microorganisms support the breakdown of organic matter and contribute to biological activity within the growing medium.

The BioTabs fertiliser tablets provide a gradual nutrient supply through their NPK 15-7-8 formulation. Orgatrex complements them as an organic liquid fertiliser with NPK 5-1-5, suitable for both vegetative growth and flowering.

Preparing your growing medium with the BioTabs method

BioTabs recommends using an organic light-mix or lightly fertilised organic potting soil. A suitable option is BioBizz Light-Mix with perlite, which provides a lightly fertilised base for the system.

Following the standard BioTabs soil programme, begin by thoroughly mixing 5 g of Startrex into each litre of growing medium. When transplanting into the final pot, place 5 g of Mycotrex directly into the planting hole. Position the required number of BioTabs approximately 10 cm deep in the medium. For example, the programme specifies two tablets for a 10–15 litre pot.

For the initial watering, prepare a solution containing 1 g of Bactrex and 10 ml of Orgatrex per litre of water. Under the current programme, each plant receives one litre of this mixture once. Subsequent applications should follow the relevant BioTabs feeding schedule and your plants’ requirements.

Flexible organic feeding for different growing setups

The system is suitable for indoor and outdoor growing and can also be used with coco when following the appropriate instructions. Once the growing medium has been prepared, the feeding programme allows you to use plain water for much of the growing cycle.

If additional flowering nutrition is required, the system can be supplemented with BioTabs Bio PK 5-8, an organic flowering fertiliser sold separately. When individual components need replacing, you can find them in the wider BioTabs fertiliser and soil improver range.
