The Terra Aquatica pH Test Kit, 60 ml provides a simple way to check the pH of your nutrient solution without an electronic meter. This liquid indicator test covers a range from pH 4.0 to 8.5, making it useful for regular checks during indoor and outdoor growing. Its straightforward colour-based method suits beginners while also providing experienced growers with a practical backup for a digital pH meter.

Check pH without batteries

No batteries or meter calibration are required for the test. Fill the supplied test tube approximately halfway with nutrient solution and add two drops of the pH indicator. Shake the tube and allow the sample to change colour. You can then compare the resulting colour with the reference scale to determine the pH within the 4.0–8.5 measuring range.

60 ml for regular testing

The 60 ml bottle provides approximately 1000 measurements, making it suitable for growers who check their nutrient solution regularly. As the result is read directly by colour comparison, the kit is particularly convenient for routine checks. If you require a digital reading and finer resolution, Growmart also offers pH and EC measuring equipment for nutrient management.

Adjust your solution after testing

If the measured value falls outside the range required for your crop, you can adjust the nutrient solution gradually and test it again. To reduce the pH, you can use Terra Aquatica pH-Down. If the reading is too low, Terra Aquatica pH+ (pH Up) can raise it. Add pH adjusters in small amounts, mix thoroughly and check the result again before making further corrections.
