The Netafim PCJ-LCNL Junior Dripper with a flow rate of 2.0 l/h is a compact, pressure-compensating emitter designed to deliver water and nutrient solution directly to individual plants. Featuring an integrated LCNL anti-drain mechanism, it is particularly suitable for automated irrigation systems using frequent, short watering cycles. Pressure Compensation for Consistent Water Delivery
Within its operating pressure range of 0.7–4.0 bar, the PCJ-LCNL maintains a nominal flow rate of 2.0 litres per hour. Its pressure-compensating mechanism helps balance variations in water pressure throughout the irrigation system.
This allows individual emitters to deliver comparable amounts of water, even when positioned at different distances from the main water supply. It is especially useful in installations serving multiple plants, where predictable irrigation volumes make watering schedules easier to manage.
LCNL Anti-Drain Mechanism for Pulse Irrigation
LCNL refers to the dripper’s low-pressure shut-off function. When water pressure falls to approximately 0.12 bar, the internal mechanism closes automatically, reducing residual dripping and helping prevent irrigation lines from draining between watering cycles.
This feature is particularly beneficial in pulse irrigation systems that deliver small quantities of water several times a day. By keeping more water inside the pipework between cycles, the mechanism reduces refilling requirements and supports a more consistent start to subsequent irrigation events.
Self-Flushing Design and Nutrient Resistance
The integrated TurboNet labyrinth combines relatively wide water passages with continuous self-flushing action. This design helps move particles through the emitter during operation, improving resistance to clogging and supporting reliable water delivery.
The dripper is UV-resistant and designed to withstand standard nutrient solutions used in horticulture. For reliable operation, Netafim recommends water filtration of 130 microns, equivalent to 120 mesh.
Flexible Installation in Drip Irrigation Systems
The PCJ-LCNL can be inserted into suitable polyethylene irrigation pipes. Its barbed outlet accepts appropriate micro tubing, allowing water to be directed towards the required irrigation point.
